Jews in Hungary - WWI-WWII - Interwar statistics (1910-2011)

The following table shows the number of people who declared to be Israelite (Jewish) at the censuses inside the post-ww1 territory of Hungary. Note: it was illegal not to declare religion between 1920 and 1945. Your religion was written on your birth certificate, your marriage license (except in 1919, during the short-lived Commune, see Hungarian Soviet Republic), even on your school grade reports.
