Chișinău - Population by sector (2004 vs. 2012)

According to the preliminary results of the last Moldovan census, conducted between 12 and 25 May 2014, 492,894 inhabitants live within the Chișinău municipality limits, of whom 21,026 were working abroad. This represents a 16% drop in the number of residents as opposed to the results of the 2004 Census.
